And the Lord said to Moses, “When you go back to
Egypt
, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh which I have put in your hand…” Exodus 4:21
Dear friends, let me share with you this powerful revelation that the Lord has shown me in this verse. God has released the power into your hands. This power is need for everyday life. For example, the problems that we face each day can become unbearable if you don’t trust in God. “For the
Kingdom
of
God
is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” – Romans
14:17
It is the promise that God has made so that we may be joyful, walk in righteousness and in peace, everyday in our life. To guard God’s given peace, we will have to fight the enemy, the devil. God knows that we encounter the enemy on a daily basis therefore He said, “I give you power to deal with every attack from your enemy.” The Lord sent Moses to the most powerful country on earth in those days, to set his children free. God also knew that Moses will face Pharaoh. Before Moses was sent to Egypt, the Lord said, “I have put in your hand the power so that when you go back to Egypt, you have to make sure Moses, that you obey Me, have no fear, and do all those miracles.” There are a few things that we must pay attention to in this verse:
God has equipped us with power.
We cannot be forgetful, timid, or faithless about it.
We must always be ready to obey the voice of God.
Now to encourage you even more, let me share with you from Matthew 17:14-20.
A man came to Jesus and begged Him to heal his epileptic boy who was throwing himself into the fire and into the water. The man said, “Earlier your disciples tried to pray for my son and set him free but they could not.” Jesus rebuked the disciples and said, “Oh faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you?...” The Bible says the Yeshua rebuked the demon and it came out of him and the child was cure from the very hour. What can we learn from this particular example? First of all, we need to realize that many of us today are like those disciples that couldn’t cast out the demon. Interesting enough we also realize that they did not share with Yeshua their failure. It was the boys father who brought this to His attention. Secondly, they already heard from Yeshua that they are faithless and a perverse generation, yet they were asking Him privately why they could not cast the demon out. Thirdly, many people think that it is only Jesus that can heal the sick and cast out demons today. Yet the bible explains so well that the same power was also given to us to deal with the enemy. All it takes is to believe and have faith. Faith is the mutual thing that God requires for everything. It was written to my Jewish brethren, Hebrews that without faith it is impossible to please God.
There’s another point that I would like to bring your attention to in this verse is why Jesus said, “Oh faithless and perverse generation.” Seems like He addressed His rebuke not to the disciples only but to the entire generation of
Israel
at that time. I believe that with these words, Yeshua was bringing it to their attention that the traditions of men brought death to faith. Jesus also was reviving faith in the life of the disciples by saying, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move. And nothing will be impossible for you.”
Lets not let our faith down but lets believe God for what He has released through our Messiah into our lives. Just as He said to Moses, “See that you do all those miracle before Pharaoh which I have put in your hand.”
Lets move forward boldly with the love, strength and the power of God so that the world will see and know that God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the Messiah Yeshua, Jesus, is with you.
