You might be surprised but God has released His Ruach (Spirit) in the Old Torah. Yet the Spirit of God was not given to them as it is given to us. Even so, I wish we could see the same things occur in our midst as the children of Israel saw in their day. We need to be filled with the Ruach Ha Kodesh 24/7. Numbers 11:16; So the Lord, Adonai, said to Moses, gather to me seventy elders or men of the elders of Israel whom you know to be elders of the people and officers over them and bring them to the tabernacle of meeting so that they may stand there with you, then I will come down and talk with you there, I will take of the spirit, I will take of the Ruach, that is upon you, and you will put the same upon them. And they shall bear the burden of the people with you that you may not bear it yourself alone.
God always requires us to come to Him before He releases something: …gather to Me seventy men of elders, bring them to the Tabernacle of meeting that they may stand before Me there". If we want to be filled with God's Spirit we need to be ready for Him. The Lord said, "I will then come down and talk with you there". I will take of the spirit that is upon you and put the same spirit on them." Numbers 11:25. "Then the Lord came down in the cloud". Why the cloud? The cloud is a visible manifestation of God. It was the cloud of His Glory." And spoke to him and took of the spirit that was upon him and placed the same upon the seventy elders.” Sometimes we have a hard time praying for someone to be baptized in the spirit. We pray and seek for that one person. When God came down, seventy elders received the Spirit of Adonai. In the New Testament we read how God filled 120, 3,000 and 5,000 people. When God comes He does it all whether for one person or a million. He just does it.He took the Spirit that was upon Moses and placed it upon the seventy elders. Take a look at what happened to them when the Spirit of Adonai came upon. They begin to prophesy. Was that the reason for the Spirit of Adonai to fall upon the elders? The purpose was that they may bear the burden of the people with Moses that Moses may not bear it himself alone." V. 17. What did the seventy helpers of Moses receive? They were filled with the Spirit. God gave a special anointing to the elders in order to help Moses.
When the Spirit of God came upon these elders, they prophesied. When Ruach comes upon you, you will be moved by God's power. In 1 Corinthians 12, the Word of God says, "Now concerning spiritual gifts brethren I do not want you to be ignorant,"
The seventy elders did not know what would happen to them. They came and stood at that Tabernacle of Meeting. Then the cloud came. God took the Spirit upon Moses and put it upon them. Instantly something happened. All of a sudden they were changed. They were filled with the Spirit. It did not take a day or a week. It did not take even an hour or two. It happened instantly. Now Moses could try to stop this and say, Wait a minute, the Spirit of God was not given to you to prophesy but to carry the burden of the people! Yet, Moses was not a firefighter. He did not want to quench the Spirit of Adonai. Rather, He rejoiced!
While this was happening, two men remained in the camp. The name of one was Aldad and the other Medad. "Now they were among those listed, but who had not gone out to the tabernacle; yet they prophesied in the camp." V. 26. All of a sudden the Spirit of Adonai came upon them and they began to prophesy as well. “And a young man ran and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp. So Joshua the son of Nun, Moses assistant, one of his choice men, answered and said, Moses my lord, forbid them!" V. 27-28. Even Joshua needed to be filled with the Holy Spirit to understand what God was doing."Then Moses said to him, are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the LORD's people were prophets and that the LORD would put His Spirit upon them!"This was the desire of Moses. Moses knew God. Moses understood what the Ruach Ha Kodesh, the Holy Spirit was doing. Then he said; “I wish that all the Lord 's people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them."

And they shall bear the burden of the people with you that you may not bear it yourself alone.1 Corinthians Chapter 12; Verse 4,7, “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit." But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one." There are different gifts but the Spirit is the same. So you could have the gift of prophesy or the gift of healing or any other gift that is mentioned in this chapter, yet it is the Spirit of God who manifests it through you. Spiritual gifts are the mode by which the Spirit of Adonai manifests Himself. The Bible calls them gifts because Adonai is willing to share His Mighty Power with His children. When Yeshua died upon the tree, He had legally established the New Covenant. The Spirit of God had to come and activate the Covenant. How? By washing you, sanctifying you and justifying you. Every Word of the Lord, every Covenant and every move of God is always done by His Ruach, the Spirit. When you repent of your sin, the Spirit of God takes away the effect of that sin away from you. This is how God sets us free. It is one thing to forgive you and it is another to heal you from that guilt.
When the Ruah Ha Kodesh comes upon you, He comes in His fullness. The Bible calls this: "spiritual gifts", or the gifts of the Spirit of Adonai. Why does God call them gifts? They empower us to do His work. We do not need power to clean the floor, serve tables or be administrators. The power of God is needed when we deal with the supernatural realm. Spiritual gifts carry the power of God to deal with things that we can't do in our own strength. They are supernatural like gift of healings, word of knowledge, word of wisdom, faith, interpretation of tongues, working miracles and prophesy.
Friend. Stay away from every religious spirit! A religious spirit is a false spirit that will lead you away from the truth of God. A religious person will seek God with their religious mind. Seek God with your heart. Listen and pay attention to what God said. God did not ask you to seek Him with your mind or with somebody else's opinion or doctrine. God said to seek Him with all your heart! Open the Scriptures and begin to read what God said. Our mind needsto be renewed BY THE WORD OF GOD. Your heart craves for the truth while your mind is trying to figure the truth out. Renew your mind with the Word of God then your heart and mind will find the same answer. I pray this will happen to you.
